Semrush Kicks Off 2023 With Global “Trust PTO” Policy

BOSTON – January 26, 2023 – Semrush announced “Trust PTO,” a more flexible and progressive upgrade from its traditional paid time-off (PTO) policy. The new global benefit grants eligible employees days off above the limit of PTO days which may be prescribed by local legislation.

Semrush believes that in order to perform at peak efficiency, an employee should receive as much time as they need to disconnect and recharge. The idea behind this new structure is not only to recognize employees for their hard work but to highlight the importance of work-life balance. The concept allows employees more room for their interests, hobbies, and needs, and grants them the opportunity to utilize their time off as desired.

“Eliminating the idea of limited paid time-off for vacations, sicknesses, and various personal arrangements is an expected next step in building a strong work culture,” says Tatiana Starikova, CHRO of Semrush. “It works exactly the same as any other PTO policy but the main difference is there’s no cap on the amount of days an employee can take.”

If an employee has no desire to utilize this new benefit to its fullest extent, the company will encourage them to take a minimum amount of days off (as defined by local law) to maintain their mental health and work-life balance. “Work results, achieving goals, and team performance are constant for Semrush, but giving employees freedom, trust, and satisfaction will always be our top priority,” adds Starikova.
